Atlantic City and wealth are two words that would never go together, according to millions of people. However, in the past several years, there have been some new additions to the city. These additions have helped to bring it back to the luxury path. More and more people are coming to visit Atlantic City once more. Although the city is suffering through an economic downtown (like many other cities in the United States), there has been a rise in the amount of upscale and luxury outlets. Who's helping in this reawakening of Atlantic City?

Three Hotel-Casinos That Have Helped Make Atlantic City The Destination Spot

There are many Atlantic City hotels that visitors can stay in and check out. However, three popular hotels have helped to make Atlantic City the spot to vacation and gamble. These hotels are:

– Bally's Hotel
– Borgata Hotel
– Trump Taj Mahal Hotel

1 – Bally's Hotel

This four-star hotel can be found next to the infamous Boardwalk. It consists of more than 1,200 rooms, an aerobic studio, indoor pool and Jacuzzi, spa, VIP valet service and indoor parking, 18-hole golf course, casino and lots of places to shop. There are 16 restaurants, which is a lot when measured against casino standards. Four of these restaurants focus on the American West culture and cuisine; the other 12 are considered gourmet restaurants. The hotel also has live entertainment sites along with chic poker tournament settings.

2 – Borgata Hotel

The Borgata Hotel is one of Atlantic City's greatest and newest additions, as there is much it brings in the way of fun and entertainment including 13 restaurants, spa, shopping center with 11 stores, bar, club along with a casino. Plans are in the works for a water club. No doubt the Borgata Hotel, which was built in 20003, has become one of the largest attractions people want to see in Atlantic City. It's got 2,000 rooms and was intended to rival hotels in New York City and Las Vegas. It's certainly turned Atlantic City around from a dull place to be to a jumping/hopping must-be, got-to see and enjoy city.

3 – Trump Taj Mahal Hotel

The Trump Taj Mahal can also be attributed to bring class and luxury back to Atlantic City. The hotel has several penthouse and lanai suites for those people with money in their pocket. In fact, the hotel rivals many of the best hotels located on the eastern seaboard of the U.S. There's a lot to do in the Taj Mahal including dining at fine restaurants, gambling away at the casino and enjoying a day at the luxurious spa. What's so magnificent about the spa? Taj Mahal's spa rivals other spas, as it offers deep tissue massages, seaweed wraps, aromatherapy and other kinds of fitness and health services.

No doubt the comfort level has risen in Atlantic City has peeled away the dullness that had taken over in the last decade. It's the hope that this surge of luxury will sustain the city even with the economic recession going on. There was a time that Atlantic City lagged in luxury behind New York City and Las Vegas but with the three above hotels that gap is quickly closing.

Another Atlantic City hotel option that has helped in this phenomenon is Caesar's Palace. It has full spa facilities, shopping, dining and entertainment.
